David Eastlake is a partner in our Deals practice in PwC Hong Kong with over 30 years of experience in accounting, treasury, banking, corporate finance and valuations. He has advised on a diverse range of cross-border transactions and has worked with clients on transactions in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Bahrain, India, Indonesia, Korea, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, the United Kingdom and the United States.
David originally trained with PwC in London before moving to PwC Hong Kong in 1992. He left PwC in 1997 and spent four years at an Asian conglomerate listed in Hong Kong, as executive director and group treasurer. He then spent nine years with a leading European bank in senior corporate finance advisory roles. From 2001 to 2007 he was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions Asia and then moved to Dubai for two years as Head of Corporate Clients & Corporate Finance Middle East for the bank. David returned to PwC Hong Kong in 2010.
During his career David has also been a non-executive director of a number of companies, a listed European property agency, a listed Thai conglomerate, an Indian telecommunications company and a listed Chinese energy group.
David holds a degree in Economics from the University of Exeter in the UK, and is a Chartered Accountant and CPA with membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
